                                                   The Pros and cons of Social Media

  Throughout our generation, people have become fascinated with the internet. You could find and do almost anything on internet.  You could video chat, instant message, socialize and shop etc but as much as it has its pros it also has its cons. The pros are that you could keep in touch with your family and friends, post things up, have a colorful blog and so on but, more and more adolescents are getting involved in the internet taking advantage of it posting semi-nude or even nude photos, posting inappropriate videos and even bullying.  

Popular social websites like Facebook help families keep in touch, through its accessible video chats and messages.  They could:

·         Send Instant messages

·         Upload photos in which they can Tag their family and Friends

·         Keep track of their life events

·         Share music

·         Share personal posts

·         Play games

·         Socialize 

Al dough these things can seem pretty cool they also have cons like :

·         Cyber bullying, that can lead to physical bullying

·         Rumor’s being spread

·         Harassment

·         Fake profiles

·         Kidnappers can get your information

·         Scams

·         Online fights

·         Stalkers

·         Your girlfriend or boyfriend can get mad at you (Worst one)

Many adolescents are starting to have easier access to computers and wifi which mean trouble. Kids and even teens on the internet is a cause for destruction.

Girls:	Boys:
Upload Semi- or nude photos	Upload inapproiate photos
Upload in appropriate videos	Brag about false things
Bully other girls	Are mostly the ones to spread false rumors
Act older on the internet	Try to get a hold of any girl
	Encourage girls to upload semi or nude photos
	Rude comments

The lists of Pros and Cons go on. My favorite Blogging platform is tumblr and personally I find it better than Facebook and this is why:  

      Tumblr is not just a social website but a blogging platform

      Allows you to follow people instead of add and you can manage who follows you and who to follow

      Artistic blogs are available

      A place to express yourself

      Almost anything is on there

      Color

      Dark

      It awesome

Well you understand why, anyways here are its CONS:

⌁        Sexual content no matter where you go

⌁        Wierdos

⌁    Swag Kids (worst one)
