Part 3

Part 3.

“Obedience is central to becoming, being, and remaining happy”
-         David A. Bednar

Reflection: This statement is very controversial and can be read and felt in different ways throughout many points of view. Obedience cannot be the way to happiness. Many people, who obey, are afraid of the dominating power and only obey because they fear the dominating power. The only happiness that is gained is the happiness the dominating power receives.  Obedience can lead to many things but the word and act itself is manipulated by man into an evil doing leaving the meaning to fade away from the word. Obedience is never good when a evil authority says it is. It never will be.

Part 2-4 Final

Progress Post

I have more than 200 goals written in my notebook and it’s been quite difficult completing some,   but I am committed and been reading them every day.  Many of my goals are long term and I want to achieve them all.  I want all the people who said I was a loser to see how great I can be and see my success.  I am smarter than what people accept me to be, way brighter than what I seem, and way more different than what people think. I am just me and I will succeed. I will have my own coffee shop. I will be a bestselling author. I will have a nice house and my mom will have a nice house and everything will turn out just fine. My life will be a positive adventure.

Class Reflection

Class Reflection
  • 1.        What did you like the best about this class?
  • What I liked about this class was the people I sat next to and the amazing conversations we had. Many of us have a lot in common and have the same experiences. Above all, I made good friends. But, one is leaving off to college and I wish him the best.  I also liked the tech time it gave me an opportunity to research the things I needed and essays that needed to be typed.

  • 2.      What did you dislike about this class?
  • What I disliked about this class was how quite it was. Ever since I was little I cannot stand quiet places along with the redundant posts about research.

  • 3.      What can you recommend to improve the class?
  • I recommend more artistic and creative ways to do research along with more talking from the teacher.

  • 4.      What will you always remember about this class?
  • I will always remember to THE SAYING choose the right and the student success statements.

“Obedience is the test of life”
-         Thomas S. Monson

Reflection:  Obedience goes a long way. Actions go a long way. In today’s society, everyone is for themselves and tension build up which leads to disobedience. In life you face many hardships and tests but the one of the greatest ones is obedience. With temptation, everything becomes real and many act in a negative action. But the greatest test you will ever receive is survival.

“Obedience… is the primary object of all sound education”
-         Elizabeth Missing Sewell

Reflection: As we grow, enter school and change, we are taught to obey authority and obey what is believed as right. We are taught to be mimics of society and obey every single thing. Of course, we need authority and of course some people either abuse it or act inappropriately to it. But, from what I experienced and have seen, even our own authority that tells us to obey, does not obey the power of the people. I believe that a child should be taught to obey what is sane and right, not what is scripted and corrupt.

“Obedience sums up our entire duty”
-Hosea Ballou

Student reflection: Obedience is greater than its interpretation. Obedience is a word of life and morals. Obedience is not our duty, but what to obey is our responsibility. Our duty is on earth is to behave and help the world with positive morals Not mass destruction and war. Sometimes those who you are obeying are the ones who do not own up to their obedience. Not everyone that obeys is good.

"The more obedient we are, the more freedom we have"
- Boyd K. Packer

Reflection: This statement is a complete paradox. In my opinion, obedience is not just obeying the law or someone's authority, obedience is the situation in which you comply with your positive morals and shut the negativity out.  Freedom is a word that is greater than someone. BUT, those who you think obey, DON'T.

Obedience

Obedience

The complete definition of obedience according to Miriam Webster and the human population of the internet is “Compliance with an order, request, law or another’s authority” along with being a monastic rule.  The synonyms include compliance, conformity, submission, and subordination.  An example of obedience would be in the scenario of a boss asking you to fulfill a number as tasks and you perform them to the best of your ability.

“I would prefer even to fail with honor than win by cheating.”
-         Sophocles
Reflection:

Success is the case of many failures, with that in mind, I emphasize that many successful stories, were filled with dirt and cheating. Failing with honor is beyond of the greatest things any human can do. Why, because in our human nature, we are filled with greed, corruption and negligence. To win by cheating is a greater lie that to cheat on a test. To lose with honor, shows dignity and shows responsibility.

“He who walks with the wise grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm.”
-         A proverb

Personally, in my small time of life, I have seen the people who are believed to be wise vs the ones who are looked down upon and are believed not to be wise have conflict. Many “educated” groups of people are proven to be very malicious and judgmental to other groups of people. Society views these people as wise because they are educated not that all educated people are wise; some educated people lack their wisdom in life. But, the people who smoke weed or think differently, are seen as people who carry no wisdom when personally, I have met some of the most intelligent and very accepting people who are like this. Smoke marijuana and are educated. Yes, some people who smoke are irresponsible or rude but I know people who have wisdom. Who think different and accept everyone regardless of who they become and what they have done. We live life and stand up for what we believe in.  Just because of one thing does not make you wise or just because you are different does not make you wise. Who you walk with and what you carry, what you do vary, but how you act upon shows everything.

They work directly with dentists by following detailed written instructions and using impressions (molds) of the patient's teeth or oral soft tissues to create:

Graduates of these programs receive either an associate degree or a certificate. There also are a few programs that offer a four-year baccalaureate program in dental technology.

In most cases, an interested individual needs a high school diploma or its equivalent to apply to an accredited dental laboratory technology program. Contact the dental technology program of interest to you for specific requirements and must be accredited by the board.

Experienced technicians can realize significant satisfaction and rewards in commercial laboratories or may choose to be self-employed, opening their own dental laboratories for greater independence.

“You can’t hire someone else to do your push-ups for you”
-         Jim Rohn

Reflection:  What this quote adheres is the symbolic message of doing it for yourself and not having anyone do it for you as everyone at one point has herd. In life, things you wish to achieve must be done by you and only you. You can receive guidance and help, but in reality no one can do it for you.  Nothing will ever be accomplished if you always make excuses or hire someone else. With that in general, if you don’t build your dreams, another person will hire you to build theirs and that relates to this quote. No one can do anything for you just as no one can die for you.

Integrity

Integrity

In class, we watched a video about the 16th president Abraham Lincoln and his temptations with whiskey and tobacco. Along a ride with his coachmen he is asked if he would like to take a drink of whiskey with his coachmen and president Lincoln declined. Later, Lincoln is asked to take a smoke with his coachman and he says yes but tells the coachmen a story of when he was a young boy. Back when he was 9 years old his mother was very ill and would not get well. He stood by his mother’s deathbed as she asked him to promise him to never use whiskey or tobacco. He promised and as he told the coachmen, the coachmen gave him honor for keeping his promise. This relates to many people but with deep disappointment, not many carry or are taught they value of integrity.  Integrity is doing what is right when no one is watching and doing whats right when everyone is watching. It's complete honesty and honor.  It's not what you commit but how you act upon it, its not what you see but how you look at it, and its not how your life is but how you live and change the world,

“A CTR champion is a person who makes a great human out of himself”
-         Noemi Trigueros
Reflection:
Over time, we change and our attitude’s change. Our character is shaped by events and changes in life we could go from bad to good, from good too bad in a short time. We are influenced by negatives, but mainly no one turns negatives into positives. A person who chooses the right within himself or herself is indeed a champion because they fall and get back up, they admit their faults, but most of all they change the world.

“Right is right, even if everyone is for it; and wrong is wrong, even if everyone is for it”
-William Penn

Reflection: Everyone has their own vision of right. Everyone has their own vision of wrong. We cannot simply agree but launch debate.  In today’s world what is “right” is controlled by society, media or the government. Now, what is right? The government says “It is right for us to start a war for our benefits” but “It’s wrong for another country to start a war for their benefits” the topic is simply contradictory. Our vision of rightness is controlled and babbled by everyone except US. When we as human binges should think for ourselves and not just know what is right but to feel the right embrace in our soul. Those who do not let anyone or interfere in their right believes, are the ones who choose what’s right.
