Home Health Aid

Duties and Responsibilities: A home health aide provides care that has to do with personal care and health services. They normally provide care for a variety of people that would need care provided by a home health aide such as
·         Aging/Elderly
·         Long Term or Terminal illness
·         Hospice
·         Physically disabled
·         Convalescent
·         Children and adults with psychical or mental illnesses and disabilities
Home health aides have many duties including
·         Taking vital signs
·         Assist in exercise or therapy
·         Change patient to surgical dressing
·         Administer prescribed medication
·         Emotional or Psychological support
·         Move patient as needed
·         Carry on conversations with the patient
·         Purchase necessary ingredients needed for proper diet
·         Help with daily hygiene needs
·         provide assistance in any daily needs
·         Change bed sheets as needed


Salary: 25,000$-27,000$


Education: Possible career prospectors should have a high school diploma and a required nursing program certificate.


Reflection: Do you think you would like to be a Home Health Aid? Why or why not?
 I would maybe like to be a HHA because I like the medical field and like helping people.
