Health Science Librarian
Duties and responsibilities:
Health science librarians, often called
a medical science librarian are health professionals who access the most
current information on medical topics. Their responsible for organizing spread
medical, biomedical, scientific, and clinical as well as delivering health information
to a health care delivery or educational programs. These science librarians are
responsible for organizing and arranging information for CD-ROMs, websites,
books, journals and electronic databases. They can also produce medical bibliographies
and research. Most medical librarians work in a medical workplace such as
nursing or health allied schools. They could also be employed in hospitals, government
agencies, or any other medical related workplaces.
Salary: Average Annual Salary: $43,700
Salary range:
$34,700-$59,300
(Depending on the
institution)
Education: Students who
become interest in this field should take challenging courses in high school
such as sociology, psychology, AP mathematics and AP science and Technology. After the must complete a 4 year program from
an accredited school.
I would not like to be a
HSL because I am not interested in this field.
