Practical Nurse (LPN)
Duties and Responsibilities: A licensed practical
nurse work with registered nurses and physicians. They care for the injured or handicapped
patients and also give any injections or medication needed. Their duties are taking
blood pressure, taking temperatures, take pulses, and also give baths, Change
the patient to fresh clothes. They care for patients in hospitals, houses,
nursing homes, or any other medical housing facilities. Some may also work in
private homes.
Salary: $16,000-$30,000
Education: A high school diploma or GED are strongly
required but not needed in order to pursue this health career. They could take
state approved training programs that are often held in hospitals, junior
colleges, or any college.
Reflection: Al though I do enjoy
helping the elderly and ill, I would not like to be a LPN.
