Duties and Responsibilities:
A medical illustrator, are artist
who work in the field of medicine. They draw or illustrate medical drawing for
textbooks or any other form of education used my physicians and students. They
illustrate important medical procedures a doctor or surgeon does and in some
case they mold artificial parts, such as a nose or ears. They could also appear
in television or medical seminars.
Education: A potential medical illustrator require to have a bachelor’s degree
in biological sciences and in Art and it is important to have good grades in
high school in order to get accepted to a university that offers these
programs. For entrance, they should show their artwork and later, be a trainee.
Graduate programs last about 2 or 3 years.
Salary: Median: $59,000-$65,000
Reflection: A medical Illustrator sounds interesting but is not for me because;
I am not a good artist.
